Leland C. Brenner Scholarship for the Performing Arts
Awarded by the Scholarship Committee to a Senior who meets, or exceeds, the following criteria:

An Amelia High School Senior who has been accepted to an accredited college or university.

A minimum grade point average of 2.75 on a 4.0 scale.

An active member of any Amelia High School Performing Arts Program, past or present, through either classroom or extra curriculur participation in Band, Chorus, Drama, Technical, Theatre Arts or Orchestra.

Audition, 3-5 minutes in length. Solo Performance relative to the student's participation in the Performing Arts Program at Amelia High School.

Auditions will be Wed. April 10th, 2013 at the Union Township Civic Center
Applications received after March 22nd, 2013, or incomplete apllications, will not be considered.
Eligibility: The following criteria will be used to determine the eligibility of applicants for the program:
- An Amelia High School Senior who has been accepted to an accredited college or university.
- A minimum grade point average of 2.75 on a 4.0 scale.
- An active member of any Amelia High School Performing Arts Program through either classroom or extra curriculur participation in Band, Chorus, Drama, Technical, Theatre Arts or Orchestra.
- Per a Vote of the 2010-2011 AHSPAB Membership; future scholarship applicants may come from any Amelia High School student who previously was involved in any performing arts program, which has been discontinued, i.e. Orchestra, as well as, those who are in any performing arts program that is still currently available.
- Timely submission of application packet
- Audition performance at the April 10th, 2013 Amelia Performing Arts Boosters Auditions. Depending on the number of applicants, we will start at 7PM and go until all applicants have auditioned. This piece can be any 3-5 minute solo performance relative to the student’s participation in the Performing Arts Program at Amelia High School – be prepared to supply your own musical accompaniment if needed. If you are performing a technical challenge i.e. lights, sound – let the committee know that is your preference.
Applicants should complete this form (you can fill in the blanks using Acrobat Reader), and either print the form or save it and attach to an email to President@ahspab.com Once it is received, you will be assigned an audition time for April 10th, 2013 at the Union Township Civic Center. We will begin Scholarship Auditions at 7PM.
Your complete application package consisting of: application, and one letter of recommendation, must be submitted to the BAND OFFICE of Amelia High School no later than the end of the school day on March 22nd, 2013.
Scholarships will be presented before the 2012-2013 Senior Awards Night.
